This must be an evening shot as Laira shed's 6008, " King James II " approaches Chippenham station with the 6.30.p.m. from Paddington to Weston super Mare which it will take as far as Bristol Temple Meads, handing over to something smaller for the run from there down to Weston.
The tracks on the left are part of the Westinghuse Brake and Signal Company factory, with the points visible in front of the middle coaches being for the Calne Branch, that town being the home of the C&T Harris factory which produced bacon, sausages & pies etc. Bowyers were also a Wiltshire firm, but located in Trowbridge.
