Peter Kerslake adds "6019 had returned to Old Oak after two years at Cardiff Canton, a move which, in company wth six other Kings, had been made in 1960 in an attempt to find them suitable Top Link work on the South Wales main line. It moved back to Old Oak as there had been a prospect of some of the Kings remaining in service for express pasenger duties from Paddington during the 1962 Summer Timetable, but in the event it was not to be and 6019 was condemned in September 1962."
