We tend to forget that Crickewood used its 27's on Cross London Freights in the 1960's, hence this would have been a regular occurance! However photos of 27's on the Southern are extremely rare........David J Hayes adds The 6T24 headcode display is interesting as you would expect an inter-regional train to the Southern Region to have the letter O in the train identification (it's possible the loco may have been displaying a wrong headcode?). Class 27s during the late 1960s could also be found working in the Wellingborough area on iron concentrate trains loaded on the Higham Ferrers branch, which I believe closed in November 1969.
