6000 1960-05-15 Rumney Bridge near Cardiff
GWR King No 6000 King George V brings the 4.10pm Whitland to Kensington milk train past Rumney River bridge on the outskirts of Cardiff on 15 May 1960. The class had been regularly diagrammed on the heavy milk trains to London from the south west since GWR days and they worked the Whitland train in the mid-1950s and early 1960s, initially only from Swindon but later from Cardiff.
