GWR King 4-6-0 No 6000 King George V with the 3.10pm Paddington-Wolverhampton passing West Ruislip and the LT tube sheds on 6 May 1961.

Peter Kerslake says "Clearly working hard but losing steam and with a substantial load 6000 'King George V' is now housed at Old Oak Common following its move there from Bristol Bath Road in October of 1952.
Formal withdrawal took place in December of 1962, the pioneer 'King' then moved for safekeeping into Swindon Works Stock Shed from where it was later restored at Swindon Works, and now (2026) residing at the Swindon Steam Museum.
Whilst housed at Bath Road 6000 had been a regular on 'West to North' express workings to and from Shrewsbury via the Severn Tunnel but its move in 1952 brought it down to Plymouth on a regular basis on workings from Paddington."
