‘Class 45’ No.101 in the early 1970s at Lichfield City, coming off the line from Walsall.
David J Hayes adds; "8D49 was the 15:40 WSSuX Conditional service from Pensnett to Toton conveying empties from the Lunt, Comley & Pitt (LCP Fuels) coal depot at Pensnett. The service also called at Brierley Hill (where the loco also ran-round) and Round Oak Steelworks. The service was later "promoted" to Mandatory status and amended circa 1973 to start at Brierley Hill (dep. 16:30 WSSuX) but not call at Round Oak"
