Ex-Great Northern Railway Gresley 'A1' class No. 4473 'Solario' in 1929 at the helm of a down express near Stevenage, Hertfordshire. At this stage it remains in 'as built' condition as a class 'A1' and would have to wait until October 1941 to be rebuilt to 'A3' specifications. It was built at Doncaster in March 1923 as GNR No. 1473 and was withdrawn in Dec. 1959 as BR No. 60104.
