Eastfield’s Standard 4MT No 76074 has had a trip up the West Highland line and was photographed at Crianlarich (Upper) around 1961. As the engine is carrying express lamps, this loco is most likely off the summer Saturday 3pm from Glasgow which was turned at Crianlarich, or otherwise could be off an excursion or just possibly a freight. This engine would find new pastures first at Grangemouth (65F) and then at Dumfries (67E) before withdrawal in October 1966 at the end of a career just one month short of ten years.
