Following the success of the first Star Special in 1955, another one was run in 1956 this time with No 4056 ‘Princess Margaret’. Again the route was Birmingham to Swindon and return but this time via Kidderminster, Hereford, Severn Tunnel Jct and Stratford upon Avon. This photo taken at Hereford: the train is running on the goods lines at Barton, avoiding the main lines at Barrs Court en route to Swindon.
