West Country 4-6-2 No 21C106 under construction at Brighton Works. The date was recorded as on July 25, 1945. It is unpainted but looks nearly complete which would fit an early August release to traffic, the fitters still use the SR numbering of 21C106 for all their chalk identification marks.

Robert Waterman says "The anti-draft screens behind the driver and fireman seats including the style/shape of the windows are consistent with the 8'-6" cabs fitted to 21C101 - 21C170. " It would later become 34006.
