LNWR 341 1900s Birmingham New Street
London & North Western Railway Webb '5ft. 6in.' (LMS '1P') class 2-4-2 Tank No. 341. Built at Crewe in April 1885 and withdrawn in December 1932 as LMS No. 6719.
An eye-catching portrait of 341 at Birmingham New Street Station circa 1900. One of 160 of the class built from 1890 to 1897 most had long lives, 43 becoming BR engines and the final withdrawal not taking place until 1955. p.s. I wish I had that gas lamp in my garden!
