34080 1964c where?

34080 1964c where?

Robert Waterman says "For 34080 the date has to be between 4/64 and withdrawal in 9/64. 34080 was unique in being the only original Bulleid to receive a cut-down tender (6/59) and then be retro-fitted with a non cut-down one (swopped with 34075's on this latters withdrawal in 4/64). The engine was also unique as a light pacific in having panelled cabside lining with a non cut-down tender. The tender also displays the later BR crest - not particularly common on the non cut-down variety.
As a 72A/83D Exmouth Junction loco at this time the location is a bit of a tease with the headcode shown. On the SR SW division this would normally indicate Waterloo - Portsmouth Harbour via Guildford which was fully electrified and this clearly isn't. The only place I can think of that looks to fit is the top of Enham Bank east of Andover on the West of England main line with a Salisbury - Waterloo stopper - but with an incorrect headcode."
