34036 1951-04 St Budeaux

West Country class 4-6-2 No 34036 Westward Ho! arrives at St.Budeaux Victoria Road with an Exeter to Plymouth train in April 1951.
Peter Kerslake says "34036 is running for some reason without nameplates here as it enters the Southern Region's St Budeaux Victoria Road station on the outskirts of Plymouth, heading for the terminus at Plymouth Friary after having run on on the Southern Region line via Okehampton and skirting the northern slopes of Dartmoor.
The Western Region had its own station at St Budeaux Ferry Road on the approach to the Royal Albert Bridge over the Tamar.
This view shows how neatly kept the platforms and bushes were, with a fine display of posters visible on the right, but sadly not many passengers about."
