At Platform 3, this was taken in May/June 1956, just before the local passenger trains were given over to DMUs in the new summer timetable. The train is the 9.39am Boston to Peterborough and the bowler hatted passenger on the footplate is Inspector Basil Cummings of Lincoln who was having a ride 'for old times sake'.
