Dutch EM2 No 1504, former BR E27006 waits to depart from Hook of Holland with the TEE 'Rheingold' on May 28, 1971.

Peter Kerslake says "Now owned by the Netherlands State Railways and renumbered 1504 one of the seven former B.R. Class EM2 electric locomotives sold by B.R. to the Dutch authorities in 1968 is seen here in 1971 still retaining its original oval B.R buffers which were later squared off in Holland but with the replacement single arm pantographs fitted for working over the Dutch system.
With the former 27005 kept by the Dutch authorities as a spare and a source of parts the remaining six locomotives served in Holland until August of 1986, following which two were donated back to B.R. and one, the former 27003, now named "Diana" was preserved and retained in Holland.
Of the two returned to the U.K. via Zeebrugge and Harwich the former 27000 "Electra", restored by the Dutch authorities to her former B.R. livery and with her original pantographs, can now be seen at Butterley whilst the former 27001 still retains her Dutch livery in the Manchester Science Musuem."
