A locomotive with a past history and a preserved future , Standard 92203 had worked the final steam hauled iron ore freight from Bidston Docks to Shotton steelworks in November of 1967 a duty upon which the 9Fs were regularly rostered during that period of time , the engine being subsequently purchased upon its withdrawal by the late David Shepherd who initially based it at the Longmoor Military Railway before its move to the East Somerset Railway and a subsequent move to its present home on the North Norfolk Railway.
