92079 1960s Bromsgrove
The 9F and three panniers all have plenty of steam ready for their next bout of pushing. The usual and busy scene here at the watering and coaling shed to the South of Bromsgrove station , provided for the locomotives on banking duties up the Lickey . All the engines here are clearly ready for their next call to duty , and a system was in operation here which ensured that the crews and engines all did their fair share of the work , and that the engines were always ready to go so as to avoid unecessary delays to Northbound workings on the main line. Standard 92079 seen here was later replaced by a number of others in her class , with 92230 being the final 9F to work as main banker , that last 9F eventually leaving Bromsgrove in the Summer of 1964 . Three of the seven Panniers at Bromsgrove from 1956 / 1967 are seen here
