Former Crosti 9F No.92021 is not a pretty sight compared to its more elegant classmate No.92122 at Wellingborough on 3rd June 1962. It had been converted to conventional operation two years earlier after a brief period in store. Note that the horizontal handrail at the foot of the cab side sheet has been removed. No.92021 moved away from the Midland lines to Carlisle Kingmoor in June 1964, ending its days at Birkenhead from July 1965 until withdrawal in November 1967.
