92079 1960s Bromsgrove
Initially the replacement for 58100 Big Bertha upon her withdrawal from service in 1956 , Standard 9F no. 92079 hasn't as yet received the massive headlamp from 58100 , but she's seen here ready for action on the two mile climb up the Lickey to Blackwell. The recoaling and watering facilities are in the far background , where the bankers were stabled awaiting their next call to duty , and the rule was that they all took their respective turns on the bank , and there was a rigid system applied to ensure that this was followed as far as was possible, provided that they weren't stuck up at Blackwell awaiting a clear path back down to here at Bromsgrove.
