At Barking in the early 1950s, No 40029 is still fitted with narrow chimney. Built 1931; w/d 08/61. Note the ornate cast iron LT&SR platform seat embelishments.
The firm of Henry Browne (background) was a Barking manufacturer of ships clocks and other nautical instruments.
