LNER Gresley 'V1' class 2-6-2 Tanks Nos. 2929 and 2909. Built at Doncaster in February 1935 (2929) and February 1931 (2909) and withdrawn in May 1962 as BR No. 67229 and February 1962 as BR No. 67609 respectively.

Down the shed's side road in the 'main line' part of St. Margaret's MPD are a pair of Gresley's handsome 'Prairie' Tanks. Only 2909 would be rebuilt in 1953 with higher boiler pressure to class 'V3'.
