822 1956-06-23 Welshpool
No. 822 threads it way through the town at the site of the former Seven Stars halt, which took its name from the nearby public house, as it approaches the Church Street crossing with a special excursion organised by the Locomotive Club of Great Britain on 23rd June 1956. Platform seats from the main line station were placed on the open wagons and, before setting off, the stationmaster collected from the passengers signed statements that they would not claim damages from British Railways if they came to any harm.
