The date could be incorrect as unusually for that date the smokebox numberplate is missing from a loco not withdrawn. 65835 was withdrawn from Blyth on Jan 1967 but re-instated to Sunderland to work until June 17th 1967.There appears to be something added to the rear of the front buffer beam that we haven't seen on any other J27. It appears as though it is a simple repair job to the buffer beam along with extra bolts from the front to secure it.
