Ex-LYR ‘1F’ 0-6-0T No. 51537 spent the early 1950s at Bank Hall before transferring to Aintree in April 1952 where it was based until withdrawn in September 1961. Here it is in the yard at Bankfield Goods Depot (the L&YR part of Canada Dock) on 11th April 1955. The gantry in the background is over the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
