Great Eastern Railway James Holden 'S46' or 'Claud Hamilton' class 4-4-0 No. 1883. Built at Stratford in May 1901 after three rebuildings it became class 'D16/3' and was withdrawn in March 1957 as BR No. 62514. This is the famous Brentwood Bank in Essex seen prior to being widened to four tracks in 1934. No. 1883 is in original condition with round-topped boiler and equipped for oil burning as the small air vent below the smokebox door indicates. She is heading an up express from Cromer to Liverpool Street.
