Camden shed's 46236, " City of Bradford " waits to add the through Plymouth to Glasgow coach on to the down " Mid Day Scot " here at Crewe on 1st. of June , 1956. This was the longest through coach working in the Country at this time. The coach has come off the 8.00.a.m. from Plymouth to Liverpool and Manchester here at Crewe earlier.
The " Mid Day Scot " was due into Crewe at 4.11 p.m. when 46236 and the through Glasgow coach will come on to the front of the train after the engine which has worked down from Euston has come off its train.
On this day 71000 was the engine from Euston to here at Crewe.
