Newly outshopped from Crewe Works the previous day, the 31st of May 1956, Carlisle Upperly's unrebuitl 'Patriot' 45537, 'Private E . Sykes V.C.' awaits arrival of its train from the South which it will then work homewards on its first duty following its time in Works. 45537 is clearly looking lovely in its new colours"
