Comments by Mike King An REC railtour to Grain and Allhallows ran on 24th August 1960 - seen here at Sharnal Street with smart clean 31512 and a Maunsell pull-push set in green, strengthened with a SECR 60ft Third in crimson lake. Despite the uncertain future of the passenger service — the station and its environs look well-kept and tidy. Note the station nameboard - a concrete product of the Exmouth Junction works provided in 1935 - contrasting with the adjacent gas lamp.
