GWR Castle class 4-6-0 No 5080 Defiant at Shrewsbury on June 30, 1955.
Peter Kerslake says "Allocated to Landore 5080 is in the fine external condition typical of Landore's "Castles" at this time. After undergoing a final overhaul at Swindon in July 1962 awhile allocated to Llanelly it was withdrawn in April 1963 and remained at Woodham's scrap yard at Barry for ten years before being purchased for spare parts although it was later restored to working order."
