GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 5055 Earl of Eldon banked by 5560 with the Torbay Express at Shiphay Bridge near Torre on 17 September 1960.

Peter Kerslake says "5055 "Earl of Eldon" came to Newton Abbot depot in April of 1958, later moving to Carmarthen in January 1963 then Goodwick and Hereford, later ending its days at Gloucester as did so many "Castles" , in October of 1964.
The "Torbay Express" rosters were shared between Old Oak Common and Newton Abbot depots, virtually always "Castle" hauled in both directions between Paddington and Kingswear".
