GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 5070 Sir Daniel Gooch Paddington-Banbury semi-fast approaching South Ruislip in 1948.

Peter Kerslake says "Recorded here in the first year of Nationalisation 5070 still retains its original smoothed inside valve chest cover, buffer beam number and "G.W." branded tender and is yet to have a smokebox door number plate.
Built in June of 1938 its first home was at Old Oak Common from where it ended its days in March of 1964."
