GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 7027 Thornbury Castle reversing down to Weymouth shed in September 1957.

Peter Kerslake says "Doubtless having worked down to here at Weymouth from Paddington 7027 'Thornbury Castle' made it into preservation but as yet has to be restored despite numerous attempts at various locations.
Built at Swindon in August of 1949 'Thornbury Castle' was initially housed at Plymouth's Laira depot, later heading to Old Oak Common and then to Worcester in May of 1960, followed by a spell at Reading from August of 1963 from where it was condemned four months later.
Saved from the cutters' torches at Woodhams at Barry 7027 was initially housed at the Birmingham Railway Museum and is now back at Birmingham's Tyseley Works."
