22567 1946-05 Coventry

A late-surviving relic at Coventry in May 1946. No 22567, a double framed Kirtley 0-6-0 shares the yard with a Super D No 9167. The 0-6-0 failed to enter BR service being withdrawn in 1947. Only 4 of its type survived to be acquired by British Railways.
Originally built by Dubs & Co with a round topped boiler in 1868 No 22567 had been subsequently fitted with a belpaire boiler, modified Deeley cab and the later style Stanier chimney.
