7823 1962-05-24 Dovey Junction
7823 Hook Norton Manor had been a Truro shedded engine down in Cornwall until it joined other members of the class on the Cambrian system in the late-1950, later being an early candidate for withdrawal as ending its days at Tyseley in July 1964 and sadly not being saved for preservation.
It's clearly a very wet day here at Dovey Junction and as 7823 heads the Paddington bound 'Cambrian Coast Express', having arrived with the coaches originating from Aberystwyth and after attaching the portion from Pwllheli, which had arrived at the platform on the right.
