One of the 29 Pickersgill 0-6-0s inherited by BR No 57671 seen at Kilmarnock in the 1950s. Although these were relatively modern engines compared with the earlier McIntosh variety, thirteen had been withdrawn by the LMS whereas the McIntosh class was passed on intact to BR.
No 57671 fared relatively well: built 1919; w/d August 1962.
