57671 1950s Kilmarnock
If you weren't sure of your location when glancing out of your carriage window, the skyline might give you an almighty clue! This is a 1950s view at Kilmarnock Station, adjacent to the former Glasgow & South Western Railway's works and (conveniently) the Johnnie Walker's whiskey distillery.
Pottering along with an unremunerative load is an ex-Caledonian Railway William Pickersgill '300' class 0-6-0 No. 57671. It was built at St. Rollox in January 1919 (as CR No. 315) and withdrawn in July 1962.
