The LCGB ‘Hayling Farewell Railtour’ began at Waterloo on 3rd November 1963 when Class S15 No 30512 took the 9 coach special to Fratton. From Fratton to Havant (via Portsmouth Barracks) was given over to Nos 31791 and 34088, and at Havant a 5 coach non-corridor train was involved. No 32636 and 32670 top-n-tailed these coaches to Hayling Island ( as seen in this picture) and back. Finally, a pair of Class Qs Nos 30531/43 returned on the 9 coach set to London Victoria via Arundel and Horsham.
