The down Golden Arrow heads for Dover on a wintry January day in 1960, passing Chelsfield behind BB No 34085 ‘501 Squadron’. Five months later in June, this pacific was rebuilt at Eastleigh, and served for a further 5+ years, being finally withdrawn in September 1965.
