One of the 10 double domed boilers that were built by L B Billinton is paraded by C2X No 32526 at an unknown location but believed to be Horsham. These distinctive boilers incorporated Billinton’s own top feed apparatus inside the rear dome but when the apparatus was later abandoned, the dome remained in situ with no function. The C2Xs were known locally as ‘Large Vulcans’.
