What this engine was doing at Horwich is anyone’s guess, but that’s where it was on 13th May 1956. Previously LMS No 27515 it had spent many years working in the Peak District on the C&HP Railway outbased from 17D Rowsley shed. A LNWR chimney has replaced the original North London Railway chimney but otherwise the engine is in as constructed condition.
Built in 1889, withdrawal came in October 1957.
