A very interesting image from Swindon dated 27th. September, 1964 with the former G.W.R. Dynamometer Car, complete with the additional spoked wheel shown clearly here, looking as though it was intended for disposal in company with withdrawn 1013 "County of Dorset", a former Shrewsbury engine in happier days. Doubtless all the technical measurement and recording apparatus has already been removed from the inside of the Dynamometer Car and 1013 is minus its cabside plates and nameplates and has had its connecting rod cut through to facilitate movement as a "dead" engine from its last home to here at Swindon.
