Iron ore empties brought down Stoke bank are seen entering High Dyke behind O2/3 No 63987, -numerically the last of the O2s, on 8th May 1963. The days of the O2s were almost over as the class was extinct by the end of the year. No 63987 along with 28 others was withdrawn in July 1963.
