Retford in Nottinghamshire boasted two MPDs. One was ex-GCR (Thrumpton) and the other being ex-GNR. This fine portrait was taken at the latter and portrays ex-LNER Gresley 'O2/3' 63987 in the shed yard. Photo taken on Sunday 13th May 1956.
