The driver inspects his ex-works loco. It will be a good days work! It was in Doncaster Works for a General Overhaul between 29/7/1959 and 28/8/1959. During that time it was rebuilt as an O2/4, being fitted with a 100A boiler. This was to be its last works visit. It coincided with the SLS railtour to Doncaster Works with Midland Compound 1000 on 30 August 1959 - so several photos are known on this day! Condemned 16/10/62 and sold to Central Wagon Co, Ince, Wigan.
