Ex-LNER Gresley 'A4' class 4-6-2 No. 60026 'Miles Beevor'. Built at Doncaster in February 1937 as LNER No. 4485 and named 'Kestrel'. Re-named 'Miles Beevor' in September 1947 and withdrawn in December 1965.

In the days when such benevolent gestures were possible, Perth's shedmaster spontaneously arranged for 60026 to be pulled outside specially for Arthur Hall to photograph. The diesel shunter that performed the task can just be seen behind. What price such kindly acts these days?
