LNER designed Thompson 'B1' class 4-6-0 No. 61307. Built by NBL of Glasgow in April 1948 and withdrawn in November 1966.

Although Dalry Road MPD in Edinburgh had been a Caledonian Railway/LMS shed, by the early 1950s ex-LNER types began to infiltrate. Classes 'J36', 'J37' 'N15' and (as here) 'B1' had been allocated. Sneaky huh?
