LNER Gresley 'D49/1' class 4-4-0 No. 2760 'Westmorland'. Built at Darlington in June 1929 and withdrawn in August 1958 as BR No. 62735.

It's 1929 and Glasgow's Eastfield MPD has just received it's first 'D49/1' in the form of 'Cumberland'. A proud crew are happy to display their new steed, though draughty cabs and rough riding (later improved by spring modifications) were frequent complaints about the class.
