This is a familiar location to photograph locomotives on up trains arriving at Retford Station on their southbound journeys. In this case it's LNER designed Peppercorn 'A2' 60539 'Bronzino' seen with reporting number 462 in July 1954. The lines curving in from the left allowed GCR traffic from the Worksop route to enter the station. The elderly ex GNR parcels van in the sidings is an interesting survivor.
