60034 1950s King's Cross Station
This iconic scene at King's Cross has been captured on film many times but not always in such clarity as Raymond McCarthy's superb study of Gresley 'A4' No. 60034 'Lord Faringdon' waiting for its departure time. The actual date is unrecorded but the driver was the renowned Bill Hoole as noted by Raymond and recorded by him in a separate photograph of Bill and his fireman Norman Harvey.
