Here's an excellent portrait of an ex-Southern Railway Maunsell 'V' or 'Schools' class 30914 'Eastbourne' in the black lined livery. Regarded as one of the finest 4-4-0 classes ever built, the appearance of 30914 is spoiled by the ugly, (and reputedly ineffective) LeMaitre multiple blastpipe and chimney. Ramsgate MPD May 1956.
